Shokoh is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in technology and commercial transactions, specializing in the licensing and commercialization of technology and intellectual property (IP) rights. With a diverse portfolio of clients, she serves as outside business counsel for organizations ranging from innovative startups to Fortune 500 companies across various sectors, including technology, life sciences, retail, video games, entertainment, and non-profit organizations.
Before joining Acceleron, Shokoh spent 18 years in the corporate business transactions group at Morgan Lewis, where she refined her skills in drafting and negotiating a wide array of commercial agreements. Her expertise encompasses technology and content licenses, artificial intelligence (AI) issues—including company AI policies and AI related agreements and terms—SaaS contracts, development agreements, and software licenses. Additionally, Shokoh has navigated the complexities of IP rights transfers, joint development and joint venture agreements, and procurement contracts.
Shokoh’s practice includes advising clients on cross-border licensing, strategic alliances, and critical IP matters, including in the context of mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and financing strategies. She has been a proactive contributor to thought leadership in her field, delivering presentations at Morgan Lewis on open-source software and best practices for engaging AI vendors. Shokoh’s insights are also featured in Law360, OneTrust, and the Morgan Lewis Tech & Sourcing blog, where she regularly addressed AI issues, contract terms, and recent developments in IP law.
Prior to her tenure at Morgan Lewis, Shokoh served as a consulting attorney in the legal licensing and technology group at Cisco Systems, Inc. She is fluent in both English and Farsi.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Shokoh is involved in the Leading Women in Technology WILpower program, where she champions initiatives that empower women in the tech industry. Her commitment to fostering inclusive environments and advancing the role of women in technology underscores her dedication to not just her clients but also the broader community.
