Colby Gartin

Colby’s practice focuses on corporate legal services for emerging growth and mid-cap companies, with over two decades of experience advising companies ranging from start-ups to large public companies on all types of strategic, intellectual property and commercial transactions. Colby’s prior experience includes in-house legal and senior management roles in advising public and private companies. As a highly experienced attorney, Colby constantly strives to provide his clients with practical and business-savvy advice and support.

Before joining Acceleron, Colby was Vice President and General Counsel at eSilicon Corporation in San Jose, California where he handled eSilicon’s commercial agreements, strategic and M&A transactions, IP portfolio, litigation and corporate governance matters including worldwide subsidiary maintenance. Colby led eSilicon’s legal efforts until its acquisition by Inphi Corporation. Prior to joining eSilicon, Colby was director, corporate counsel at Asyst Technologies in Fremont, California, and a corporate attorney at O’Melveny & Myers LLP in Menlo Park, California and Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison LLP in Palo Alto, California.

Colby’s extensive in-house counsel experience allows him to understand the business and legal needs of his clients and how to navigate his client’s internal operations to determine their needs in any given matter.
